What if my child acts up during the photo shoot?

Updated: Oct 30, 2021

TAKE A DEEP BREATH. It's all going to be ok!

This is a common concern among parents and rightfully so. Toddlers can be a handful at times, but I'm confident in my ability to get all the shots needed within 30-60 minutes. I have a shot list I work from so we can swiftly and smoothly move through the session.

I work around their schedule, not the other way around

At most, I have two appointments scheduled per day 4 hours apart. This way I'm not rushing your little one to cooperate. Some littles need an hour to get adjusted to the new surroundings & that's perfectly fine! I want them to feel comfortable so their portraits are exactly as you imaged. I might snap a few "shy face" shots too because they are too cute! The bottom line is DON'T STRESS. Your session will be a fun and relaxing experience for the whole family.

I'm a Mom too

I would be lying if I said I never held my daughter on my hip during a client's photo shoot because she just wanted her momma. I LOVE my work, but I'm a Mother first. I'm sure you can relate. Because I'm a Mother, I have a ton of patience and experience with upset kiddos. I always have a few toys laying around, snacks, music, and I have the time to wait them out.

If you have any other concerns or if your child has any special needs, please give me a call. I would be more than happy to help and accommodate in any way I can.
