Neutral Tones
I am a huge fan of neutral tones in family photos. They look fantastic on everyone and especially with the style of family photography I create. I highly suggest you do not have everyone match exactly; same color shirt, same color pants, etc. That was a very popular look back in the 80's & 90's, but we've come a long way since then.
Patterns & Logos
Do you best to stay away from distracting patterns. The attention should be on you and your beautiful family. Subtle patterns are perfectly fine, but thick stripes, large polka dots, or busy patterns won't make for a timeless image. Stay away from Logos too if you can.
