They aren't for....
Newborns. Newborn sessions are some of my longest sessions because we take brakes for feedings, changings, and I take my time getting all the detail shots I can because babies change so quickly and I prefer not to be rushed. 15 minutes is just simply not long enough.
Extended Family. Mini sessions are really meant for immediately family only. Your session is 15 minutes from when you walk in the door to when you walk out. In that time I take a couple shots of each person individually, kids together, and then the whole group. 15 minutes goes by faster than you think in the studio. Plus, my home studio can only accommodate one family at a time for now.
They are perfect for....
Busy Moms. I get it! You have a ton to do around the holidays and getting everyone picture perfect (and keeping them perfect) for an hour long session can be a daunting task. That's why I offer my Once A Year mini sessions. Get in, get out, and BAM!...You've got your annual family pictures.
Active Kids. All kids are different and all of them are awesome! There are some kids that are better suited for a full session. They usually need more time to warm up to new people or places. But some kids are perfect for a Mini Session! These kids are carefree and love to run around. Their window of interest may only be 10-15 minutes which is why the mini session is perfect.
Dads. Not ALL Dads are annoyed with having the family photo done, but I'd say a good majority are (my husband included). Mini sessions are great because they are fast, easy, and almost painless lol. It's like ripping off a band aid and then they can get back to their day. It's a lot easier to convince him to agree when it only take 15 minutes.
